Doomed to Fail is a text based "choose your own adventure" style of game that follows the life of Rhya, a knight of the Silver Chalice who wakes up in the wreckage of a convoy and must set out to rescue her friends, the convoy's cargo or to simply reveal the nature of just what happened whilst encountering all the perverted and devious denizens of a world fallen from civility.

Be warned, however, I use the moniker Writes 2 Much because I write too much. There's just below 600,000 words of content, 25 bad ends and one somewhat secret bad end, as well as a myriad of scenes that aren't necessarily bad endings, but most likely lead to one - and be warned that this game features content that is not for the feint of heart.

There are little to no consensual encounters in this game and the game is rife with themes of non-consensual or dubiously consensual intercourse, corruption of both mind, body and spirit as well as stepfordisation, domestication, breeding and bestiality.  There are optional kinks for much worse things too, including watersports, smegma / dirty dicks, beast rimming and more.

The game is currently in release 0.3 that adds six new bad ends at the hands of goblins and satyr. The last release focused on a demonic hunter and the initial release focused on  the devious Drow. Each release focuses on a new area, a new person or a new theme and as the story develops so too will the world and the nature of kinks, slowly becoming darker and darker.

As for me; any advice is good advice. I'm by no means a professional writer, nor an amateur, just someone with too much time on their hands and a passion for dark and deep smut. I intend to make no profit off of this; but in the future any donations received would go directly towards POV art commissions for scenes as well as someone to help make the game look pretty - so let me know what you think and I hope you can enjoy what's there!

Sidenote; Until I can figure out how to make it look good on the itch page consider downloading it and loading it up in your browser of choice instead, that way it fits and looks much better.

Is game still worked on?

(+1)

Yup! Just published a little devlog explaining the progress so far. Scope-creep and a second job have delayed things but hopefully the next update will be worth the wait!

Oh, ok thanks

Really dig this, even though I'm not usually a fan of CYOA works.
I'm hoping you're still working on this, I keep coming back to it time and time again for Klinks and I'd love to see more of that character!

Thanks for your feedback! Klinks is definitely one of the most fun characters I've written and there's definitely more planned for her further down the line, maybe even in the next update, but who knows! I am still working on this in my free time but the next update is going to be far more technical which is proving to be an absolute mindfuck as I want different choices to lead to different outcomes in a far more technical way that I do not have the technical knowhow to make work well, Klink's "secret" ending is one example, but a certain character needs a story structure I can't do until I've finished every other character planned for the update which is making life difficult too!

I'm aiming to put my foot down and try to get the next update out around Christmas, so far there's 28 pages of one character, 71 pages of an unfinished character, 20 pages worth of story for something like 90,000 words (at the moment) with only 4 of like 10 endings penned, one character done, two started and one yet to touch..  So I'm definitely biting off more than I can chew, but feel that if I back out now things will look wonky.

Glad you're still working on it, I enjoy your writing style quite a bit, even if content wise it's not all for me so it's exciting to hear everything you're cooking up. I ended up having to dig through in the editor to figure out Klinks' hidden ending and I don't envy people working in Twine. Hope you can push through your technical hurdle!
